IVF update

Days 3, 4, and 5 are all going to be the same. The good news: no blood tests in between days. The bad news: I have to give myself shots. I have done this before, so I am prepared.

Here is what is involved - two different shots for now. One is easy and straightforward. The other takes some chemistry to get things mixed and ready for injecting. It took me about 15 minutes to do this yesterday because I couldn't remember how to do it and I wanted to do it right. One little bottle of these babies costs $70. Wouldn't want to mess up and send that down the drain.

The injections are given in my stomach. Luckily the needles are fairly small. As long as I find a good spot, it is mostly painless. Adrian offered to give himself a shot of nothing just to be supportive, but I told him he could sit this one out.

I am still feeling good and excited about doing this.

Thanks again for all of your support! I have had a lot of emails, Facebook messages, texts, and phone calls offering support. I am so grateful for it!

Thank you for sharing your journey with us Natalie. You are so brave! It's funny how we think other people have these perfect lives because I never knew you had this deep sadness you were living with. Thank you for sharing this and helping me remember that other people have trials that i am unaware of. You're in my thoughts and prayers! We sure do miss all of you out there in buffalo!!!

Wow Natalie! What an intense process! I wish for the best for you and your cue family! I second what Steph said, we often get so stuck on our own trials we hardly ever realize what other people go through! Good luck! I cant wait for your updates!
