Last year when I did IVF, it was at this point that my doctor decided to cancel the cycle because I did not have enough eggs for retrieval. It was very hard to accept after I had gone through so much. So I couldn't be happier that my ovaries are working just as they should.
I'm not sure if I explained what the ultrasounds are all about. The ultrasounds are done so that the doctor can check my uterine lining (make sure it is thick enough), ovaries, and follicles. They measure each follicle to see how big it is, which determines what day the eggs are ready to come out. It is kind of amazing to see the follicles each time I go. This picture is not of me, but it is an image of the ovary with all of the follicles.
I go back in the morning to confirm that Monday will be retrieval. I am excited to be to this point!

yea for productive ovaries! I'm excited for you to have that little vacuum get up there and retrieve them so you can have some relief... keep them safe just a few more days!
