A change in prayers

We have been teaching Taylor about prayer ever since he was very small. Up until recently, his prayers were a summary of his day,

"Thank you I could have breakfast with daddy this morning. Thank you I could go to school. Thank you I could have chicken for dinner and then play a game...."


He's taken a turn in his method of prayer. He has started to look forward instead of back.

"Thank you that my mom is going to let me play Mario Brothers after dinner. Thank you that I am going to get a story about the Little Ninja tonight..."

We just had a little chat about how God doesn't always answer our prayers the way we expect him to.
