Day 4: Jacob doesn't love rollercoasters
This morning I (Jacob) woke up at 9:30 eastern time. We ran to breakfast so we could get to Cedar Point by 1o:00. It was raining when we got there so we hesitated about if we were going go on the rides or if we would turn back because of the pouring rain. We finally decided that we would go to the amusement park.
We started out looking for some rides that I (still Jacob) like. We found one that goes around and around and it feels like there is an earthquake at the same time. After that, Cameron and Adrian went on a ride called the Dragster that went up to 120mph in 6 seconds.
Then we went on the Magnum roller coaster. It was the tallest roller coaster 20 years ago. At the very beginning we started going up the hill and then went straight down. I felt like I was going to do a somersault out of the roller coaster and die. After one more downhill, we started going on all these crazy bumps that felt like the coaster was flying off the tracks. That was the first and last roller coaster I went on that day.
Adrian and Cameron went to the Maverick after that, which was voted the best roller coaster in 2007. It was an hour wait to go on the ride.
Here are some of Cameron's thoughts:
It was probably the greatest roller coaster I have been on. It shoots up a hill and then goes straight down. It feels like you are going to fall right off.
Here are Adrian's thoughts:
As I finished the Dragster, I was screaming "best roller coaster ever!" To my delight, a few hours later, I would finish riding the Maverick, only to say, "best roller coaster ever!" You might think I say that a lot, but those are the only two times I have said that in my life. So much better than any roller coaster I have ever been on.
Because of the rain, our day at the amusement park ended, and we were back on the road. Only 4 1/2 hours more of driving before we arrived in Buffalo.
