Day 3 started early. Day two I was feeling good, but after covering over 715 miles on day 2- I was pretty beat. The plan was to play golf each morning though, so I got up early (even though I was tired) and played an early round of golf in the corn fields of Iowa City. I did my best to put on my "not tired" face. You can't even tell I am tired in the picture can you?
Our goal was to make it to the White Sox game by 1:05 PM, so we couldn't stop during the drive- but we did pass a few interesting places. I think that Jacob could describe it best:After Davenport, Iowa we crossed the Mississippi river. There were a lot of cabins on the shore and it was REALLY big with forest around it. When we got into Chicago, drove straight to US Cellular Field.
Parking was really expensive, $23. When we got out of the car we started looking for scalpers so that we could get better tickets for a cheaper price. We found a guy who had tickets just 21 rows up from the Angels' dugout. It was $85 total for 3 tickets, which we thought was a pretty good deal because they said on them they were $50 each.
In the bottom of the 1st inning there was a runner on 3rd and 1st and a White Sox player hit a pop fly into center field for a sacrifice fly that led the runner from 3rd to home to give the Sox a 1-0 lead. Chicago's pitcher pitched a no-hitter until the 6th inning when he allowed 2 hits. At the end of that inning there was a runner on 1st and 3rd and a low line drive was hit in his direction, and he dove and caught it to save an easy run. The White Sox ended up winning 1-0.
The stadium in my opinion (Jacob still speaking) was nicer than Wrigley, but I've never been to Wrigley field so I can't prove that. After the game we headed into downtown Chicago.
Now I'm forcing Cameron to tell what he thought about downtown Chicago:When we arrived to downtown Chicago we drove along the Magnificent Mile as we were making our way to the Aenon Building where the Mid American Club is. We were meeting Adrian's friend there who took us to the 80th floor (which is the top floor).
We were able to see all over the city from their including the Sears Tower (now called the Willis Tower), the Nave Pier, the Soldier Field and Lake Michigan. After that it was time to head out. We had a long drive ahead of us.
(Adrian again) We had 5 1/2 hours of driving ahead of us, so by the time we got to Sandusky, Ohio it was almost midnight.
We were exhausted, hence the delay in getting this blog post out.

Natalie I can't believe that Cameron is that old. Wasn't it like last year that we'd go spend the night at your parents house and he'd make us orange juliuses (is that the plural form of julius?). Wow.
I've found your road trip adventures very entertaining!
We need more updates and pictures. Although I understand you are doing super cool stuff and probably just don't have time to update.
I loved living vicariously through your blog. Jacob, I wonder if you are going to be drawing more stadiums?
Christy, Jacob spends all of his free time drawing stadiums. He's got a notebook full of them.
