Customer Service

Since I seem to complain a lot about bad service on my blog, I decided to write about someone(s) that makes me happy.

The Pharmacist at CVS on Kensington.

He is always so nice, helpful, and pleasant.

I went to pick up a prescription today. The pharmacist used my name when he talked to me, wasn't condescending, and was very helpful. It reminded me of a time a few months back when I showed up at the drive through window right at closing time. When I went to pay for the prescription I realized that I didn't have my wallet.

"How far away do you live?" He asked.

"About 5 minutes."

"Ok, run home really quick and get your wallet. I will stay open until you get back."

And he did. Isn't that nice?

And telling this story reminds me of a recent trip to McDonalds (right next to CVS) for shakes. It took forever and they didn't get our order right. When we got to the window the manager (I think he was the manager, he seemed official) handed us our shakes and told us not to worry about paying. Isn't that nice?

I just love good customer service. It's good to know that there are employees out there that know they have competition.
