Did I mention there was a Safari?

After a week on the mountain, we had a little r&r in the Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater. Seeing the animals in their natural environment was amazing.

Our first night was spent at Gibbs Farm. It is a huge coffee plantation, and it is beautiful. We were greeted with warm towels to wipe off the dirt from driving on dusty roads.  Everything about it seemed luxurious after 7 nights on the mountain. We almost wished we were just going to relax there for a few days, but we had animals to see.

This is the safari car we spent 6 days in. There was no air conditioning, but while we were moving we got a nice breeze through the windows. We had a guide, Marco, that did all of the driving. We did most of the animal spotting.

This picture is taken in the Ngorongoro Crater. The little dots in the background are animals. Probably Buffalos or Zebras.

More pictures to come.
