We live in a mansion

We live in a mansion.

At least that is how I feel after spending the last 10 days in a 1-bedroom Manhattan apartment. Thanks to our friends, the Eyre's, we were able to have a place to stay while Adrian worked and Taylor and I played.

Here are some of the highlights of our trip (in no particular order):

1. Family! My cousin Mark, and his wife Kathryn, live in the city. Thanks to Kathryn I stayed busy and had fun. I'm glad to know that if we ever move to NYC we already have friends there. This is Taylor and Ila taking a bath.

2. FAO Schwarz - Taylor and I had fun playing at this huge toy store. Taylor didn't like getting his picture taken in front of the Statue of Liberty, but was more than happy to pose with the pirate.

3. 4th of July fireworks. I think I enjoyed the sunset more than the fireworks themselves, but it was pretty cool to watch the huge fireworks show over the Hudson River.

4. Times Square. We only made time to go to the Toys R Us store, but it was fun.

5. Central Park. We spent a lot of time here, and at other parks in the city. It was within walking distance to our apartment, so we went running here, had picnics, and played at the playground.

We did other things (Statue of Liberty from a distance, Natural History Museum) that I either didn't get a picture of, or didn't include because sometimes it's too much work to add more pictures (*does anyone else think blogspot is annoying?). We had fun, but we are SO happy to be in our BIG home (some might consider our home a humble abode, but this week it feels big)!

*Is there a way to cut and paste? Is there a way to "Undo?"

I hope the trip didn't dissuade you from ever moving here. We had so much fun having you close by!

As for the blogger issue: do you use "blogger in draft." That seems to be and easier way to edit, for me at least. (I think there was a box to check on my original dashboard, but now it all looks so different)

Ohhhh... I miss you guys! I hope you move to the city because then I will visit you. NYC is one of my favorite places. Why didn't you go to Serendipity? Did you know one of my life dreams is to order their $1000 desert? I've got to try it! Want to come too?
