Dung Beetles

Awhile ago we checked out a book at the library about a little girl who loves bugs. She decides to bring a dung beetle to school for show & tell.

I didn't know that the story had any meaning to Taylor until I found him outside one day. Going poo on the grass. On the neighbor's front lawn.

"What are you doing?" I said as I picked him up and plopped him behind a tree to finish his business (he was far enough into it that he wouldn't have made it inside).

"I'm feeding the dung beetles," was his reply.

I guess he did learn something from reading the book.

I laugh so hard everytime I hear that story. He is so funny and smart. And I was reading the comments from your last post and truly he is a lucky boy to have you as a mom. You are a wonderful mom and I'm lucky to have a sister like you! Can't wait to see you!
