Everyone's Your Friend

Adrian and I had a nice long date a couple of weeks ago in New York City. He had to be there for work, so I flew down early Friday morning to spend the day with him. And we packed in a lot. We go a few times a year, but we don't always do touristy stuff. This time we decided to be true tourists. We spent most of the day on the hop on/off bus tour. It was fun to see the city from that perspective - away from the crowded sidewalks where we could really look around and enjoy the architecture.

We also spent some time at the Statue of Liberty. Neither of us had ever been there (well, I think Adrian may have gone a long time ago) and it was great. We did an audio tour (again, trying to be true tourists), which was somewhat boring but very informative.

We also got to have dinner with Mark and Kathryn (cousins), and their cute new baby.

We ended our night on Broadway at West Side Story. We both thought the show was ok. Adrian was a little disappointed considering he had been "wanting to see the show his whole life." I found it a little boring. But with that said, we were glad we got to go.

It was a such a great weekend! It was especially great to just spend time together.
