Christmas 2008

Just before Christmas we carried out an ancient Dayton family tradition of dressing up like the cast present at Christ's birth. Our version of the nativity is perhaps not as reverent as the original, but twice as colorful.

Taylor was dressed as a lamb.

Mom and Dad were shepherds along with a very grumpy shepherd named Owen (my nephew). Our niece Olivia was a wonderful angel.

Then Taylor learned about the other meaning of
Christmas when he received a giant slide/basketball hoop combo from Santa.

Not suprisingly, he was far more interested in the uninflated balls that came with the set then he was in the slide itself.

Winter Wonder.... Waterslide?

The Dayton family decided to come out to Buffalo this Christmas- so of course we had to hit Splash Lagoon, one of the largest indoor waterparks in the world. Taylor loved it, and we loved watching him go down the slides. He almost loved watching us slide as much as sliding himself.

In the hotel he was able to find trouble pretty quickly, so we spent as much time in the water as possible.

We had a great time having so much family in town, and are now sadly awaiting the no-family, waterslide-free week ahead.

It looks like you guys had a really fun Christmas...I know the feeling of looking ahead to a normal week. Hopefully it will just be good to get back into routine. We missed you guys this Christmas!
