Yes it is true, my son has grown a mullet! I just thought it was a cute little patch of hair until more than one person pointed out that he had a mullet! Adrian's family tradition is to wait until your child is two years old to cut his or her hair. We thought about letting it grow a little more and then giving him a cute little braided tail. But then we realized that traditions are nice, but having people think we are trailer trash is not. So after briefly contemplating our options, Grandma Dayton helped me cut it. Here are the before and after pics.

Funny! And I'll have to agree that you made the right choice. No child deserves a baby mullet :)
If I didn't know that I was looking at YOUR blog, I would have thought those were pictures of Jack a couple months ago. He had the same "rat tail" as Taylor. Tim ended up shaving his off too!
I can't believe you shaved the back of his head! Every hair cut for the first year of my kids lives was painful for me. The twins didn't even have a hair cut until their first birthday!
Oh well, I guess you're right about the trailer trash thing. He's cute no matter what!
Hilarious! Thanks for sharing! I'm sad that I missed you when you were in Salt Lake!
You know, I actually heard that mullets are making a comeback. He's hip!
Are you kidding! How could you shave his baby hair away? Oh well I am only his grandmother, what do I know?
