For my High School Friends

Once in awhile I become nostalgic. I miss the simpleness of childhood and teenage years. This week I began thinking of some of these memories, and here are some of my favorites:

Sara, remember when we stayed up late at your house memorizing the words to "Fishin' in the Dark?" I still remember every one of them. And I still sing them from time to time.

Lindsay, remember blasting Deanna Carter as we drove around in your Jetta. The route which always included a drive-by of the MTC (at least one of which proved to be successful)?

Laurie, remember when we were trapped in your house by an army of fifth grade boys with water balloons? Spencer and Steve being the ring leaders (they did have broken hearts after all).

Brittany, remember all of our karaoke nights that we video taped at our sleepovers? And how your mom would buy pulp free oj when she knew I was coming over? We had so much fun. Part of me would like to watch those videos, and the other part of me hopes you didn't keep them.

Lisa, remember when our 6th grade boyfriends gave us each a rose for v-day? And how we were too embarrassed to show them to our mothers? So we played "he loves me, he loves me not" on our way home from school, and then threw away the remnants? And then months later, that 'said' boyfriend gave me a message through you that it was over?

I have a million more memories, but I'll keep it at that. I'll be in town next week, what do you say we get together?

We had such a great group of girls. That was really fun to read! I would love to get together, maybe we could meet at a park or the farm.

Loved this post! Yes...I remember our drives by the MTC and blasting Deanna Carter. I've been thinking about lots of memories of all the girls these past few weeks. I would love to get together while you are here. What would you guys think about "sans kiddos?" (As much as I like seeing everyone's kids, we don't get much time to catch up when we're chasing them!) Maybe we could do both? I guess it depends how long you're in town.

What a fun post. We need to find those videos. Good times!!! A gils night out sounds like fun!? Kid free is good for me.(I didn't mean for that to rhyme) It will be great to see everyone. I'll be in Sun Valley until the 6th, but then I'm free.
And another look down memory lane...Pennies!!!
