Strawberry pickin'

Taylor and I went Strawberry Picking for playgroup last week. I thought Taylor would love it, but he was bored after about 2 minutes. He did find joy, however, in stomping on the strawberry bushes (which is discouraged or against the rules - I can't remember which).

We came home and made Strawberry Tart TWO days in a row. Actually, my friend Mackenzie did most of the making. I did a lot of the eating. We also made some delicious strawberry jam.

After doing some "strawberry stomping," Tay was rescued by cute little Sam Hopkins who brought his umbrella to block the sun (it was about 90 degrees which is H-O-T for Buffalo). That went well until Taylor kept trying to grab the handle, which, according to Sam, threw off his balance.
Taylor also made friends with this cute old man.
It was an afternoon well spent...

I'm glad you had your camera with you because that is an adorable picture. (And not just because my kid (the umbrella tyrant himself!) is in it too.)

Plus, our strawberries were GOOD! Sounds like yours were too.
